Biography

Judge. Born in Romania. Received a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Yale University and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School (Order of the Coif). Prior to appointment served as Counsel to the Chief Judge at the United States Tax Court and practiced law with Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP; Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer US LLP; and West & Feinberg, P.C. Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center. Appointed by President Trump as Judge of the United States Tax Court; sworn in on August 24, 2020 for a term ending August 23, 2035.
